Description
Lilia - Romagna DOCG Albana Passito 2016
The 2016 vintage benefited from abundant sunshine and perfectly balanced rainfall, yielding one of the most complete and refined expressions of this wine. As in 2015, the grapes were harvested late, on the 6th of October, under exceptional conditions that allowed full natural maturation and the development of the noble molds responsible for the wine’s aromatic complexity and depth.
After harvest, the wine was fermented and matured for 6 months in stainless-steel tanks, preserving purity and varietal expression. It then underwent 15 months of refinement in wooden barriques, gaining structure, texture, and layered complexity before bottling and cellar aging.
Lilia 2016 presents a magnificent antique-gold color shading into pale amber — bright, deep, and elegant. The texture in the glass is velvety and rich, immediately conveying maturity and finesse.
The nose is complex and refined, intertwining pastry and baked-sweet notes with toasted hazelnut and distinctive carob-like spice. Honeyed, balsamic, and varnish-like undertones add further depth, evolving beautifully with aeration.
On the palate, the wine is broad, enveloping, and harmoniously structured. Its restrained sweetness provides roundness without heaviness, while lively freshness balances the richness, creating a vibrant, engaging dialogue. The structure is firm yet elegant, and the finish is long, silky, and persistent, echoing honey, dried fruit, and delicate spice.
A meditative and contemplative wine, perfect with aged or blue cheeses, pastries, or simply to be savored in quiet moments of reflection.
Lilia 2016 is both intellectual and sensual — a wine of aromatic opulence, elegance, and emotional depth.

*** At Divinalux, we use only a refined touch of sulfites—just enough to protect the wine as it ages, without overshadowing its purity. While sulfites may be more noticeable in wine than in food due to the presence of alcohol, they remain discreet for most consumers.
Our philosophy is simple: minimal intervention, maximum elegance.
