Description

Hilla - Rubicone IGT Trebbiano 2016

The 2016 vintage benefited from abundant sunshine and perfectly balanced rainfall, producing one of the most complete and refined expressions of this wine. Trebbiano grapes were hand-harvested at night on September 6th, 2015, then fermented at low temperature in stainless-steel tanks. The wine underwent 12 months of maturation in inox, followed by extended bottle aging.

The color is bright and deep, with golden reflections and notable consistency. The nose is complex and dynamic, marked by fine spices, balsamic and iodized notes, and a dense array of Mediterranean herbs (thyme, rosemary, sage). Aromatically broad and precise.

On the palate, the wine is powerful and vibrant, driven by a crystalline mineral tension. Fruit is present yet perfectly integrated into a structure defined by depth, precision, and exceptional length. The texture is firm and elegant, with a finish of remarkable purity and longevity.

A standout vintage, representing one of the most complete and energetic expressions of Hilla Trebbiano.

*** At Divinalux, we use only a refined touch of sulfites—just enough to protect the wine as it ages, without overshadowing its purity. While sulfites may be more noticeable in wine than in food due to the presence of alcohol, they remain discreet for most consumers.

Our philosophy is simple: minimal intervention, maximum elegance.
