Description

Hilla - Rubicone IGT Trebbiano 2019

The 2019 growing season on the hills between Romagna and Toscana was balanced and favourable. A warm spring ensured regular flowering and optimal fruit set, while a consistently warm, but never extreme, summer supported even, harmonious ripening. Trebbiano grapes were hand-harvested at night on the 28th of August, then fermented at low temperature in stainless-steel tanks. The wine underwent 12 months of maturation in inox, followed by extended bottle aging.

The color is slightly less intense than 2018, yet remains brilliantly luminous, a clear indicator of vitality. The nose is delicate and finely detailed, led by aromatic herbs and a subtle note of acacia honey, always refined and never dominant. The aromatic profile is marked by precision and transparency, with each component seamlessly integrated.

On the palate, the wine shows exceptional balance, defined by a pronounced saline–mineral backbone that adds depth and tension. Freshness is precise and well-calibrated, extending a clean, persistent finish while maintaining structural elegance.

A composed, elegant, and energetic Hilla, expressing the stylistic clarity and authentic identity of the label. One of the most harmonious and classically balanced vintages.

*** At Divinalux, we use only a refined touch of sulfites—just enough to protect the wine as it ages, without overshadowing its purity. While sulfites may be more noticeable in wine than in food due to the presence of alcohol, they remain discreet for most consumers.

Our philosophy is simple: minimal intervention, maximum elegance.

*** In 2017, our Estate received official Organic Certification for all agricultural activities, including the production of wine, olive oil, and other farm products. Although 2017 marks the first year of certified organic status, the Estate had been in conversion since 2013, and even prior to that it was cultivated in accordance with the organic requirements of the Regional Park regulations. As a result, all our wines have been produced according to organic standards for many years; however, from the 2017 vintage onward, we are officially authorized to display the Organic Production Symbol on all our labels.
